Our farm hunting has come to an end and we'll be settling on a civil war era farmstead just south of Bowling Green in Half Way, Kentucky.  With our move comes a lot of changes including how we will be sharing our harvests with our farm members.  While we have loved our multi-farm CSA option many of our suppliers are finding lots of success selling directly to consumers at Community Farmers Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.  As our kids grow older they are asking for their own pigs, cows and chickens.  After much prayer and consideration we'll now be growing and raising all of the food we offer in our farm shares right on our own farm.  Our new farm at 395 Hickory Lane will offer opportunities for you to come work alongside us, enjoy harvest gatherings, potluck meals and more.  We are excited about what the future holds and we hope that you will consider coming along with us.

Below you will find an invitation to a gathering just for our CSA customers as well as choices for new farm share options coming October 1st.  The multi-farm option that you are currently participating in will no longer be available as of October 1st.  You may have noticed that Community Farmers Market is growing by leaps and bounds and many of the products you receive in your share each week are now available at the market each week.  In order to decrease our competitiveness at the market and increase our ability to serve our members in a more relational way we have decided to make changes to the way we offer you the food grown on our farm. You will notice that there are four options below.  You can choose one of the following:

Protein & Vegetable Share-vegetable share (just like what you receive currently), 1/8 cow, 1/4 pig, 6 chickens, 24 dozen eggs and an "extra" item like olive oil, citrus, berries, maple syrup, real salt each week.
Homestead Share-visit the farm each week and "take all you can eat".  That's right, you will be able to take all of the vegetables, eggs, beef, pork, prepared food and bread you can eat for the week.
Prepared Food Share-we are pleased to announce that Emily Aldridge is joining us as our new on farm chef.  She will be offering a prepared food CSA with a ready to eat entree, side dish, salads, fresh fruit, breads, snacks, treats and more.

We understand that there will be a need for some members to cancel your membership and we hope that those will consider supporting our farm partners at Community Farmers Market.  If you have any questions about the Heirloom Gathering or our new farm share options please feel free to contact us at any time.  Michelle michelle.lifeisgood@gmail.com or Nathan 270-799-5563
